A Life Fuelled by Motorsport

Motorsport has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. While other kids had posters of Lamborghini Countach’s and Ferrari F40s on their walls, I was the one mesmerised by the timeless lines of the classic Porsche 911. There was something about its design and presence that captured my imagination and still does to this day. I’m fortunate enough now to have a Porsche in the collection, though there’s certainly room for a few more in the year’s ahead!

Over the years, I’ve been lucky to take part in karting and track days across New Zealand, as well attend motorsport events both locally and overseas, each one deepening my appreciation for the sport. Whether it's the precision of the drivers, the commitment through the apex, or the camaraderie among the fans, every experience adds another layer to my love for motorsport.

It’s this same passion that inspired me to co-found Full Throttle Experience, a place where that shared enthusiasm can come to life and every event is built to bring motorsport enthusiasts together.

Motorsport has always been part of my world. From the first time I watched a race, I was hooked, not just by the speed, but by the sounds, skills and drivers that defined the sport. I’ve always been fascinated by the combination of incredible skill and bravery of the drivers, to the race car evolution and engineering precision that fuels it all.

In my younger years, I was offered a place at a driving academy racing Formula Fords, a proven pathway toward a racing career. As much as I wanted to chase that dream, the costs made it a tough call, and my family and I decided not to pursue it further.

Since then, I’ve followed that passion to racetracks near and far, soaking in some of motorsport’s most iconic events. I always knew professional drivers were incredibly skilled, brave and just a little bit crazy, but it wasn’t until I saw my first F1 race in person that I truly understood the trust they place in each other. Watching them fly through corners, mere centimetres apart at impossible speeds, I realised how much mutual respect, instinct and trust are needed to make it all work.

That same spirit inspired me to co-found Full Throttle Experience, a way to connect with fellow enthusiasts and create unforgettable motorsport travel experiences. Every event has its own character, but the constant is the energy: that shared excitement among people who simply get it.
